F&S Elektronik Systeme GmbH from Stuttgart expands its successful PicoITX product family with the high-performant armStone™A9 with NXP i.MX6 Quad-Core CPU.

We offer versions with Single-/ Dual- and Quad-Core CPU (ARM® Cortex™-A9), up to 4GByte RAM and up to 32GByte Flash. The module has standard connectors for Ethernet, 2x USB Host, USB Device Audio OUT and DVI signals (up to FullHD). Digital RGB (up to SVGA), as well as 2x LVDS, are offered for display connection. All display interfaces are independent and can be used simultaneously with different contents.

It is also possible to use both LVDS interfaces together to control a FullHD display. For the connection of a 4-wire resistive touch, as well as a PCAP-Touch, we offer additional adapter boards (via I²C). Of course, these come with fitting touch drivers under Linux as well as Windows CE. Other available interfaces are CAN, 2x USB Host, I²C, SPI, 3x RS232, GPIO und Audio LIN-IN/-OUT/MIC, PCI Express® and SATA-2.

All interfaces are on standard connectors or on the 66 poles Feature Connector for internal use. The board is supplied with 5V or 8-14V and the temperature range is up to -20°C - +85°C. F&S customers are supported by our software department (10+ experienced engineers). Hardware production is also in-house (three highly modern production lines). Thanks to this special constellation (single-source and Made in Germany), F&S boards are used in well-known customers’ applications all over Europe. Particular mention should be made of the high number of medical customers of more than 60%.

Possible applications are displaying, controlling and communication devices with a display from 3.5” up to FullHD in industrial and medical engineering. As a control medium one can use a 4-wire resistive touch panel, as well as a PCAP touch panel (also with additional glass plate). This enables a wide field of applications.
