With the starter kit, you have the option of connecting external peripherals to the PicoCOMA7 during the development phase. In its form as a plug-in module, it carries all signals to an 80-pin connector.

The base board included in the kit leads all interfaces of the PicoCOMA7 to common sockets or pin headers.

The PicoCOMA7 starter kit contains a PicoCOMA7-V1-LIN / -WEC7 / -W13 with Cortex-A7 CPU, 512MB RAM, 256MB Flash, audio, Ethernet, CAN and resistive touch controller. A boot loader and a Linux / WEC 7 / WEC 2013 kernel are already installed. For test purposes, it is also possible to install a different operating system than the pre-installed one (e.g. WEC7) and thus develop software for the PicoCOMA7.

The starter kit consists of a base board with a PicoCOMA7 and a cable set. The base board offers connection options for the following interfaces: Ethernet, USB host, USB device, 2x RS232, SD card, I²C, SPI, audio (line in, line out) and I / O ports. 5V are required as power supply. The starter kit also includes a 7 "WVGA TFT with resistive touch panel (ET070080) and the matching display adapter with film cable and touch cable. Documentation and software are available in our download area.

We also offer a four-hour workshop. The aim of the workshop is to learn how to use the PicoCOMA7 starter kit and to complete the workshop with an executable system.

Das Linux BSP (imx6-linux-3.0.35-f+s-V0.2) beinhaltet den von F&S angepassten Linux Kernel Source Code (v3.0.35), den angepassten U-Boot Source Code (2009.08) und ein angepasstes Buildroot (2012.08), sowie unsere Cross-Toolchain. Zudem sind unsere Standard Binaries des Linux Kernel Images, U-Boot und ein UBIFS Root Filesystem beigefügt. Um einen ersten Eindruck von dem Funktionsumfang der Baugruppe zu bekommen, sind in dem auf Buildroot basierenden Root Filesystem unter anderem folgende Features installiert:

Busybox 1.20.x, gdb 6.8, alsa-utils, gstreamer, directFB, fbv, X11-R7, Fluxbox, feh, openssl, openssh, freetype, glib2, tslib, libv4l, ncurses, can-utils, iproute2, ftpd, httpd, telnet, tftp, u.v.m.

Darüber hinaus bieten wir ein vorkonfiguriertes Ubuntu Root Filesystem an. Über die interne Paketverwaltung steht dabei eine Vielzahl weiterer Software-Pakete zu Verfügung.

Das BSP enthält neben anderen Dokumenten auch unsere First-Steps Dokumentation, sowie einige Beispielapplikationen.

Windows Embedded Compact 7

Windows Embedded Compact 7 für die QBlissA9 ist in Vorbereitung.

Windows Embedded Compact 7 auf der QBlissA9 installiert, bietet Bootloader, Schnittstellentreiber und Kernel (mit z.B. Silverlight, Mediaplayer oder IE).
Die Schnittstellentreiber fast aller angebotenen Schnittstellen stehen schon fertig zur Verfügung (Ein Zugangscode zu dieser Software liegt dem Starterkit bei).
Mühsames Arbeiten mit dem Platformbuilder entfällt, diese Arbeit haben wir Ihnen schon abgenommen.

Software wird mit Visual Studio .NET (nicht im Starterkit enthalten) in den Sprachen C, C++, C# oder VB.NET erstellt.
Verwenden Sie Schnittstellen wie z.B. I²C auf die gleiche Weise wie eine RS232 Schnittstelle ohne sich mit der darunterliegenden Hardware auseinandersetzen zu müssen.
Konfigurieren Sie das Display und andere Einstellungen mit dem F&S Konfigurationstool.
