High Performance

Many applications in the industrial and medical area demand for a high-performance module to control displays, to connect controlling elements (touch panel, key panel, incremental encoder,...) and to communicate via modern interfaces (Ethernet, USB, CAN, ...). The NetDCU product family meets these conditions since more than 15 years.

Simple Base Board

A special feature of this product family is the possibility to use a simple base board. NetDCUA9 is as far as possible compatible to the other NetDCUs and can be used as an easy upgrade for NetDCU11.2/ 9.2/ 14.

NetDCUA9 is based on a NXP i.MX 6 Cortex-A9 CPU with 1GHz.
Up to 4GB DRAM and 512MB SLC NAND Flash are sufficient to boot a complete WCE or Linux directly from Flash. The system can be set up with an additional SD-Card.

 

Various Interfaces

NetDCUA9 offers interfaces like USB Host/ Device, 2x LAN, RS232, CAN, SPI, I²C, Audio (IN/OUT).
The pin compatible version (to NetDCU11.2/ 9.2/ 14) has a display interface with RGB signals. So displays up to SVGA can be controlled.
An additional version with LVDS interface is possible (max. resolution up to WXGA).
An interface to connect a resisitive touch panel is also available. Capacitive touch panels can be connected via I²C.

Multimedia CPU

The CPU holds functions such as 2D/ 3D, 5 Window Layer, FPU, MPEG4/H264 decoder up to 1080p@60fps, enabling many multimedia applications.

At a power supply of 5V, power consumption is less than 3W, so NetDCUA9 can be operated without a fan or cooling device.
